Well, we survived the tornado. Fortunately for us it jumped right over Junction City. We were under tornado sirens for 30 - 45 minutes. The link is a video of the tornado that jumped us and hit Manhattan head on. http://www.ktka.com/videos/2008/jun/12/20217/ The tornado hit about 15 miles west and east of us. We were fortunate.

Travis and I both work with many people that live in this area and are grateful they all seem to be ok. Travis is missing someone from 4th BGD that noone has heard from yet, so were waiting anxiously on that.

Our First Posting!

Well, everyone I know just about has a blog page, but us!!!! So, here goes! Welcome to our blog site! I can't promise to post everyday, but I do promise we will post as often as we can!

After Travis came home from Iraq, there was a lot of down time, so we went to World's of Fun in Kansas City. This was the result! We had to FORCE the kids to put on these silly hats and have their pictures taken! As you can see, Colin was the only one that was ok with it!!!!! He (Colin) won them all from a game spot because he doesn't really like to ride the rides! Me either!!!! So, we played games until I felt like he had wasted enough money on them and then we walked....and walked.....and walked until we finally found a picnic table and sat! We did go on the water rides though! That was COLD!!! It was the first part of May when we went and for any of you in this area, you know that we had cool temps FOREVER this year! It was wonderful while we were walking forever, but you get on those water rides and you freeze your booty off!

This is a picture of Colin and his hurt butterfly! He "nursed" it to its grave I am afraid! But, we got some good pictures of it first!

I suppose most of you know that we are getting ready to move to Germany in August. We are in high gear getting ready for the big move. It is always a hard life when you have to pack your whole family up and move them to another state, much less another country! We are having to sell the house. Here's our listing if anyone is interested! ; )
We had a great showing Saturday, but our realtor is not sure if they will bite because they saw a couple that they liked really well. We'll see what happens! Pray for us on that because we need to get this house sold to be able to move...it's painful to sell a house, but even more so when you know you have a deadline and the housing market stinks like it does!
OK, so you are about updated on our life! The boys are in Arkansas visiting with their grandparents before we fly them halfway across the world! We will be in Arkansas on July 3rd for a little while to do our own visiting! Hope to see you all. For more accurate dates, feel free to call or e-mail us. We will be at DeGray state park the 3rd through probably the 5th or 6th, then we will visit with Travis' family for a couple of days and back up to Springdale for a few days. We know that it is impossible for everyone to meet our timeline, but unfortunately, the Army has dictated our timeline once again! Hope to see you all soon!
